Armorial Wool work

A large and unusual Victorian armorial wool work circa 1880. This is a really fine quality embroidery. The royal lion and unicorn crest are set within a shamrock border and feature the motto “Dieu et mon droit” and “Honi soit que mal y pense”.
The frame is veneered in figured mahogany with a gilt border. Overall the condition is good with slight fading to the background and a few small dings to the frame.
It measures cm high by cm wide.
