Miniature Sack Barrow
A rare and very cute 19th Century miniature sack barrow. This is the first example I have seen, it dates from about 1880 and was made either as a salesman’s sample or an apprentice piece. The frame is constructed of riveted steel with brass support and mahogany handles. As well as being an unusual collectable it is also a fantastic display piece.
I have photographed it next to some books (not included) to give an idea of scale. There is some wear and tear in keeping with its age but overall the condition is good.
It measures 60 cm high by 24 cm wide.
